Wednesday & Thursday Recaps

Wednesday-
This was designated as our free day on the beach!!! BUT due to the pouring rain we (aka Kevin Ward (: ) decided it would be best to go roller skating instead. At first we were all a little unsure about going to the $3 roller skating place, but when we got there and got ready to go, we had the best time ever! We had an age group skate, a couples skate, roller blades, roller skates, etc. In the middle of all that, we did the hokie pokie, chicken dance, cupid shuffle, and other dances. While doing the chicken dance, Mrs. Lisa Godwin fell and broke her arm. :( The good news is that she did not have to have surgery which they thought she was going to have. (: She will have to have a cast but God is great. (: <3. We then came home to a delish (according to clay) meal including hotdoggers, hamburgers, and various condiments. Then to top it all off, we had brownies for dessert. mmmmmmm!
Thursday-
Today was back to work for all the teams. It was a bit of a struggle from all of the bruises and blisters from the day before, but we managed to pull through! It poured at the job sites and I know all of the teams played in the rain and enjoyed the refreshing rain! We all got to pack up early (30 minutes to be exact) and we got ready to go. For dinner we went to Closer Walk United Methodist Church in Leland, NC. It was a very amazing meal with lots of desserts!!!!!!! All of the volunteers there served us and it was so weird being served instead of serving them! The church provided snacks everyday for all the youth. We are very grateful of the kind Christians. We are sad that tomorrow is our last day, but we all have gifts for our families and are excited to give the gifts to them! (:
